APCAT developed an information sheet on COVID-19 management, emphasizing the important roles of Mayors, Members of Parliament, media, and health systems in responding to the pandemic.

The APCAT 2019 Booklet highlights the progress, milestones, and lessons learned by cities across the Asia Pacific region in advancing tobacco control and NCD prevention.

In 2018 APCAT was joined by 40 cities from 12 countries. Read more about the successes, challenges and lessons learnt in the 2018 APCAT booklet.

In 2017, APCAT expanded with the participation of 12 cities from 8 countries. This milestone reflected growing regional commitment to advancing tobacco control and NCD prevention.

The 5th APCAT Asia Pacific Summit of Mayors was held on the 17 December under the theme “Mayors’ response to non-communicable diseases (NCDs), Lung Health and Tobacco Use during COVID-19”. Mayors and subnational leaders from Nepal, Philippines, Timor-Leste, India, Cambodia, Myanmar and Indonesia came together to share their insights and exchange experiences regarding the response to the COVID-19 crisis as well as Tobacco Control and NCDs Prevention. The packed summit was viewed by over 500 participants from 20 countries internationally.
