Vision
APCAT Parliamentarians aims to build political awareness to shift priorities to ensure pandemic preparedness, global health security, resource mobilization, research and development and universal health coverage. Parliamentarians are the people’s representatives and have a key role to play in building systems that accommodate health and development.

Khagraj Adhikari
Member of Parliament, House of Representatives, Nepal
Khaga Raj Adhikari is a Member of Parliament. Currently he represents the Parliamentarian Committee on Health and Education. He was Minister of Health and Population of Nepal until October 2015. During his leadership at Ministry of Health, he established strong tobacco control and introduced national health insurance program. He introduced a 90% pictorial health warning on tobacco packs in 2015, holding the title of being the largest in the world, till 2017.
