APCAT aims to Increase accountability of actions towards ending tobacco, ending TB, and preventing NCDs; Promote knowledge sharing among media on current issues related to ending tobacco, ending TB and preventing NCDs, in local/national/regional/global contexts, and linking them with public health and other experts; Deepen understanding on linkages between sustainable development, and TB, tobacco and NCDs; Increase evidence-based reporting/ coverage from the frontline on TB, tobacco and NCDs; Counter industry interference in public health policy; Strengthen networking, partnership and collaboration between media in Asia Pacific on #endtobacco, #endTB and #beatNCDs agenda.
